Chandigarh Kare Aashiaqui review: Refreshingly different; Vaani Kapoor steals show, Ayushmann Khurrana scores well

When Ayushmann Khurrana was being hit on a hit, I first wrote that he has gone on a leak made by Rajesh Khanna in which an artist has given half a dozen or more consecutive hits. Ayushmann often chooses such films from the heart. This time he has chosen the film 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' from his mind. And, that's exactly the right choice. If you look at this film, you should see more people who have scored or are going to put up fifty of age than today's new generation. The film is then for the show ads and mothers and sisters who go around as 'judges' about the likes and dislikes of those who come across all the time. The heroine of the film also says in one place, 'Hey, Azad Desh hai. Anyone can do it in their own mind. This is the only thing that a big group is yet to understand in this country.

The biggest thing that the film 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' explains is that children are not the fiefdom of parents. Whether it is a son or a daughter, he has every right to live a life of his choice. If the parents continue to love him, he will come under their shadow if needed. Just a little love and a little trust, every son and daughter needs it. This is also the real essence of the story of Manu-Manavi-Manu. Bin Maa's son is grinding in the feelings of his CID-like sisters and father involved in the second marriage. Grandpa understands him but his value is no more than a rubber stamp in the house.

Manu has a gym. Human beings come there to teach gambling. When a kiss occurs in Jumba and when both the two jisms become one life, both of them become all before they know. After a long scene that is both awe-filled and body-breaking taboos, the story comes to the real point and wraps up the audience in a subject that is also courageous to talk to the family about.

If you remember the picture of Ardhanarishwara on the wall in the film, you can also remember the film of Bobby Darling, who 'faced the truth' in front of the whole world on the small screen. The courage with which Pankaj Sharma aka Bobby Darling faced the world two and a half decades ago. Simran Sahni may have discovered the seeds of the film 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' from there.

However, the real secret of the story of the film should not be revealed in the film review. But, I think the real joy of watching this film is only when you know from the first frame that this heroine is actually a trans girl and when the hero of the film comes to know about it, the earthquake is going to come. The audience, unaware of the story of the film, can come to this juncture and eat the roof, but if its audience is already mentally prepared, the praise that Ayushmann Khurrana and Vani Kapoor have done in the film comes out of their hearts after they come into that situation.

The film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is completely directed by actor Abhishek Kapoor. He starts the movie by remembering his old friend Sushant Singh Rajput. This is a big deal. Film actor Jeetendra's nephew Abhishek could not become a hero, this is good for cinema. In any case, Hindi cinema would be forever void of films like Kai Po Che, Rock On, and now Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. How cinema can help to create a new direction for society, and change the thinking of generations together, can be learned from this director.

I don't know how many viewers who fill the theaters for average films like 'Sooryavanshi' will go to see 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,' but this is the best Hindi film of 2021. Though the film lacks spontaneity like 'Bob Biswas,' this film with its full Punjabi flair will also appeal to the audience of the Hindi belt. This is also a lesson in how a film blossoms when it has only one musician throughout the film. T-Series, the company that released the film, would also gain something from it as well. Sachin-Jigar has returned to the rhythm after a long time.
Tushar Paranjpe and Suprapatik Sen deserve praise for writing the film. Bosco Caesar's choreography is the film's heart, while Manoj Lobo's cinematography colorizes its soul. Chandan Arora deserves special praise for never allowing the film to become ridiculously long. This film of fewer than two hours and four minutes is an excellent choice for this weekend. The film has received a UA certificate, which is important if you plan to go with your family. Tusshar Paranjpe and Suprapatik Sen deserve praise for the script. Bosco Caesar's choreography and Manoj Lobo's cinematography add color to the film. Chandan Arora should be commended for not letting it get too long.
